This sends out a wrong message to young people because everything that is potrayed by a famous person is considered acceptable. This make young people especially teenagers to believe that exposing your body is a "cool" thing to do. Many teenagers between thirteen and seventeen have internet access which makes them to have access to these videos and photos. Most young people adopt a behaviour that they see from celebrities an young girls are most vulnerable to these behaviour. They end up posing naked infront of the camera sharing those photos with their boyfriends and people whom they don't know through social networks.
Do celebrities promote child porn through social media sites?
Celebrities definately use the internet to promote themselves and receive free publicity but I disagree with you on the fact that they promote child porn through social media

Deleteit is ones choice to choose to take what is portrayed in the media and relate it to his/her lifestyle. i personally don't think it has that major effect, it really does not promote child pornography.
ReplyDeleteit does promote child porn because children believe that posing naked is a good thing to do because they see their favourite celebrity doing it.
Deleteit is sad but true that celebrities use the internet to get free publicity and they do that at the expense of children who are not suppose to be exposed to such viideos,images etc.they forget that they are role models and whatever they do is seen as ethical in the eyes of children.

Deleteit does shamelessly promote child pornography..chilren are often exposed to nude videos of celebrities,people they look up to and some eventually take it as a normal thing to do to gain publicity

DeleteFor some reason I immediately thought of Kim Kardashian...I don't think celebrities promote child pornography, however I do think they exploit social media to gain free publicity on other media platforms.

DeleteNot so real,but we can just say no because in all media things like magazines or phonographic they did specify not to sell/show the child under the age of 18.

DeleteThey do not it is time teenagers are thought to think for themselves and not use media as an excuse because it is convenient to do so. The media does not brain wash anyone or force anyone into doing anything it is just there and you as a person than take the decision of whether what you see is right or wrong and if you will do it or not.

DeleteI think its just madness to wanna promote urself by exposing yourself naked on porn for the whole world to see and yes celebrities do that bt I dnt approve of that and it is true that people take and think that its a good thing bt truth be told it makes no sense. And sadly society gets damagaed by what celebrities do for their selfish benefit to give people something to talk about.

ReplyDeleteI think celebrities should know their boundaries in the public. It seems like they misuse the fact that they have tons of followers. It is shocking the way they seek for publicity, why would one take nude pictures for a publicity stunt? Where is their dignity and pride? This is no longer for entertainment like back in the days.

DeleteAt some degree it is publicity stunt, you know what they say "sex sells" but I doubt I’d sink that low. And I do not think they promote child porn, every programme has an age restriction, and the parents have to do their bit.
