Social networks play a big role to those who are already introduced to it, children who are twelve years are already familiar with Mxit and Facebook. People use social networks for different purposes some use it to find love,friendship and share their thoughts, it is a cheaper way to communicate with people around the globe. However this can be a place where people live a lie. Let's look at Facebook for instance, most young people use Facebook as a place where they compete with their peers or a place where they live their so called "dream life'. Whereas all they boost about doesn't exist, I can choose to lie about my identity and what I do but people will still believe me. This is how many scammers get contact with Facebook users, promising them the world and pretending to be someone or something they are not.
If we can try to evaluate the issue of social networks we can come up with million negative and positive views. There is a lot that one can say about social networks but the truth is they make life easier if they are used properly. People normally manipulate social networks for their own benefits, this creates a bad perception to those who haven't used networking sites. Brands also use social networks like Mxit and Facebook to interact with their audience.www.facebook.com. Many brands have created a good or bad reputation about their brands by the way they engage with their audiences in social networks.
Are social networks good or bad for the society or people use them to manipulate?

DeleteThey are both good and bad. They are good because they helps communicate quicker with each other regardless of where in the world we are and they help businesses promote themselves. They are bad because people do not use them responsibly they end up getting themselves in dangerous situations.

We living in technology times them social media is leading the way today. You can communicate with people arcoss the earth without spending more. On my conclusion social network is here to stay like JAVA( lauguage used to write many social networks) is here to STAY.

Its without a doubt that technology has done wonders for communities and changed peoples lives forever,I read an article about teenager(ages 12-18) becoming millionaires and billionaires merely because they were able to Effectively Use and harness the power of technology.
And we have peadophiles and hackers and the worst of all the stalkers that make us wonder, is it working for us or against us?
We very familiar with cases of the nightmares that arise when one make their life a public spectacle, it is a question of whether as individually are we aware of the potential power/threats the social network pose?
I think its an advantage. Life is so much better with social networking but on the other hand it can do bad for your image.

ReplyDeleteNo offense intended it may seem innocent and reasonable to find a partner on those sites but it makes one less interactive in real life and thus making less friends and becoming more isolated in the 'real' world.

Deletei agree social media does play a major role in connecting people because many people had lost contact with their high school friends and just had to only know remember their friends name and surname then they were connected so it is good for those it has helped but bad for under 18 who exploit it for their under age silly games.
